We are serving a world in need – One act of kindness at a time
Our Mission
To empower Lions clubs, volunteers and partners to improve health and well-being, strengthen communities, and support those in need through humanitarian service and grants that impact lives globally, and encourage peace and international understanding.
BRITISH ISLES PROJECTS
Some Lions Projects
Lions Clubs in the British Isles believe in serving their communities whether they be local, national or international.
Below are some examples of our national service projects.
Lions Recycle for Sight
Recycling unwanted pairs of glasses since 1967. What started as a single club activity has grown to become a nationwide effort.
Lions Message in a Bottle
A simple but effective way for people to keep their basic personal and medical details where they can be found in an emergency.
About Lions
Lions are ordinary people who do extraordinary things to help others and support good causes throughout the British Isles. Globally we have more volunteers in more places than any other service club organisation, and love to step forward to volunteer, help others and make things happen.
Wherever you live, work or travel across the British Isles, you are likely to come across members of Lions clubs and the projects we support.
